Back to Daycare

I was asked to go back to my old job at Current to help out for the month of December, so Kaycee went back to The Sunshine House. Yesterday was her first day and she did pretty good. She didn't cry when I left. She seemed to recognize some people. But she was crying when I got there to pick her up. I don't know if it was just a long, busy day for her and she isn't use to it or what happened. This morning she said she didn't want to go to school (what she calls daycare) she wanted to go back to bed. I said me too, but we have to go. So she did good when I dropped her off again, we'll see how she is when I pick her up.

After Trick or Treating we went to Jenn's house and Kaycee shared all her candy.

It's been snowing all day and Kaycee loves it. She says "it's nowing". She wants to go out and play in it but we really haven't gotten enough snow for that yet. Maybe soon. Mommy is happy it's snowing too. There is something about the winter that I have grown to love. :)

The pumpkin patch was so much fun. It was different this year than last, some things not as good, some things better, but alot of fun. Kaycee rode the ponies twice and went on a train ride. She also really liked the big horse they had. She has no fear. Last year she was afraid of most the stuff there, but this year she was going right up to everything.

Kaycee has been completely binkyless for two days now, including at night and naps. :) So I think I finally won this one. She still asks for it at night and naps but I keep telling her I can't find it. That works for us because we lose that thing ALL the time. Weird, I thought she would say go to the store and buy a new one like she has told me before. But not this time. SO, final score Kaycee 1 Mommy 1 but it is gone.

Stinky Binky

Kaycee slept through the night without her stinky b. I just kept telling her I couldn't find it. I tried it at nap time yesterday too but it didn't really work out for me. She fought her nap for almost three hours before I gave in and let her give up. I did not give her the b though. So last night she really only fought it for like 15 minutes. Trying it again today. She hasn't had the b since yesterday morning. YAY!

Potty Training Update

So far the potty training has gone pretty good. During the day Kaycee pretty much always has on panties. And if she has panties on she goes in the potty. I haven't dared to leave them on through the night. But today she has them on for nap, so please don't let her pee in the bed. So far so good :)

Potty Training Re-Cap

All in all the 1st day of potty training went OK. First she peed on the carpet, fun for mommy. But then later she went in the bathroom and went potty all by herself. She unfortunately prefers to be completely naked during this process, but that's alright. Lets see how tomorrow goes :)

New York

Kaycee and I finally made it to NY! It was a long trip, but a lot of fun. Kaycee was really excited to see her room with all of her stuff. But she was most excited to see her daddy. Now we just have to finish unpacking, which is taking kind of a lot of time.

Update on our house

So the house FINALLY sold!!! YAY!
We have had everything moved out and the closing is on the 19th. Kaycee and I moved in with Jenn for a couple months and then we will be heading to NY.
I am really excited, but it was really sad to see my empty house.
So far Kaycee is loving being at Jenn's. All those kids to play with. Although, she is having an adjustment issue with sharing her toys. She is learning though.

Binky Update

I may actually be winning the war of the binky right now. About a week ago I forgot it at home so Kaycee went to daycare without it. Then when we got home that day I told her it was only to be used in bed. She did really well without it at daycare and ok without it at home. But ever since it has been getting better and better. She even went to bed without asking for her B last night, but she woke up about 10 minutes later screaming for it. Maybe soon I will have a binkyless kid.

Park time

Now that Spring is really here we can start going to the park again. Kaycee loves the swings. She will swing for like an hour if you let her. She does not use the rest of the playground the way everyone else does. She like the stairs and hanging from any bar she can reach. I usually have to bribe her with something to get her to leave.

Our trip to Rochester

Kaycee and I went to Rochester to visit Daddy for a few days. It was a good trip, we had a lot of fun. It was pretty cold the whole time we were there, but we still went to the park a few times and walked around some of the little towns/villages they have there. Anthony doesn't actually live in Rochester he lives in one of the towns outside the city called Penfield. Its a really nice town. And it is right next to my favorite town Fairport. Fairport is a super cute little village. They have a canal that goes through the town and there is a draw bridge that goes up when boats go through.
The plane rides weren't as fun though. Kaycee just really does not like to sit still for that long, so it made it kind of rough. We probably won't be flying anywhere anytime soon. We'll drive where ever we need to go. I'm sure I've already complained to everyone about this already but what is wrong with people. They are so grouchy and mean. They act like she is just supposed to sit there, not say anything, not make a noise. Sorry, thats not my kid. Quiet is not her thing right now.

Easter egg hunt

There was an Easter egg hunt at Kaycee's daycare on 4/4, it was fun. At first she didn't want to unglue herself from my side. I think she was afraid I was going to leave. But once she realized there was candy in the eggs she was all about it.

Riding my bike

Kaycee got a tricycle for her birthday from Grandma Jill and Grandpa Sal. She likes riding it. Of course the first time she rode it I forgot to put her helmet on and she fell and hit her head. I am doing better at remembering now.

Baking Brownies

Kaycee helped me make brownies the other day. She did a good job, didn't make that big of a mess. She sure loved licking the bowl and kept asking me for more after it was all gone. Like Mother like Daughter :)
